What is a Coaching Culture?
A Coaching Culture is a common mindset of what is possible – not what is broken. We promote a continuous, neutral dialogue among your staff that helps your team identify your present situation, articulate the ideal outcome, and close the gap between the two. It is a new way of thinking that positively impacts the entire organization, each department and every individual. It helps everyone see clearly where you are as a team, how to achieve your collective goals, and what each person's essential contributions are to get to the end goal. A Coaching Culture encourages each team member to continuously stay in the conversation and create forward momentum.
Coaching is a business process just like project management, Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma, etc. To have a Coaching Culture, everyone has to remain in the coaching conversation.
The foundation for a Coaching Culture includes two things: a common process and a common language. In turn, these two elements create common expectations. As your organization implements a Coaching Culture, you will start to hear people referring to parts of the process and using common terms in their daily conversations. In this way, a Coaching Culture takes the guesswork out of communicating in the workplace.
If the goal is transformative change, a Coaching Culture is essential. And for a Coaching Culture to truly work, it is essential for everyone to work from the same framework and processes. Beyond that, a Coaching Culture requires that everyone fully participate.
- With a Coaching Culture, there is a common mindset of continuous transformation. This dialogue increases and focuses communication and creates a culture of collaboration rather than command and control.
- Accountability becomes possible and even prevalent because the focus is on what is working versus what is wrong.
To identify what program is best for your organization, simply schedule a complimentary session. As the experienced experts in transformative change, we can guide you in reaching your desired outcome.
