BackgroundLaurie Gripshover began her career in the Trust Division of First Interstate Bank of California (now Wells Fargo) in the early 1980s. Her life and career paths have taken some interesting turns and moves cross-country to gather the useful and varied tools of a business generalist and life-transition specialist!
A passionate life-long learner, her hands-on education through work and life experiences, and a need-to-know attitude has served her clients well as she brings a well-rounded, compassionate, and unbiased approach to new engagements and projects.
In January 2006, after eight years of successfully serving as the independent Administrator to a regional Estate Planning Council, Laurie made the decision to focus her attention on serving the growing needs of professionals within and owners of independent Financial Advisory firms. Using her unique blend of strategic planning and facilitating skills, and her keen interest in people, systems and technology, Laurie is able to clearly identify and support the necessary steps to initiate change, empower staff members, implement new technology solutions, transition new and retiring employees, evaluate and streamline office processes and procedures, and inspire growth. She is not afraid to roll up her sleeves to dig into and resolve delicate personnel issues, coach succession transition, as well as facilitate improved staff communication and team interaction.
Applying the skills she gained while in the publishing and hospitality industries, Laurie is able to infuse a fresh perspective into marketing materials and branding, client and professional events; website, email and print media client communications.
On a personal note, widowed in her 30s, Laurie is keenly aware of the stages of transition related to coping with life after the death of a loved one. She is adept at encouraging and empowering men and women as they move forward after suffering a major personal loss or change. And, having moved over 25 times in her lifetime gives her great insight and compassion when supporting clients as they face career change, relocation, retirement, starting over, and begin creating a new life!
